The one everyone leans on
You’re the capable one at work and at home. By the time you’re free, it’s 8 PM and you haven’t thought about yourself all day. You need a therapist who’s still working when you are.
Virtual therapy · Washington State
Thoughtful, evidence-based therapy for adults working through anxiety, depression, life transitions, and parenting. Evening and Sunday sessions welcome.
Who I work with
A few of the people I tend to see. You don’t have to fit any of these — but if one sounds like you, we’re probably a good match.

You love the kid. You love the person you had the kid with. You also haven’t quite felt like yourself in eighteen months — and no one warned you it would feel this unsteady.
iii.
Something’s shifting — a move, a job, a relationship, a version of yourself. You want to think through it carefully, not just cope with it. You want a therapist who’ll think with you.
iv.
You’ve read the CBT workbooks. You know what “reframe” means. You’re looking for a therapist who can meet you where your head actually lives — in ideas, in books, in the big questions.
How I work
I draw from three traditions and blend them to fit you. Most clients end up with some combination — rarely just one.
Exploring the values, beliefs, and questions underneath the symptoms — so change holds instead of snapping back.
Meaning-making
Practical tools to notice patterns, loosen their grip, and build habits that support the life you actually want.
Evidence-based
If you think through reading, we can work through books together — philosophy, fiction, memoir — and use them as a lens for what you’re working through. Learn more →

About
It’s hard to be human. It’s brave and smart to ask for help in learning how to live well. I’d love to meet and see if I could be useful to you.
I arrive at sessions curious, compassionate, and empathetic. I listen, ask questions, reflect, and strategize with you.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years studying political philosophy. That background shapes how I work — I look for the values and frameworks underneath the distress, not only the distress itself. If you want to bring books, ideas, or the bigger questions into the room, I’m all for it. If you’d rather keep it practical, we do that instead. My job is to meet you where you are and figure out how I can be useful.

Questions people ask
Five questions that come up often. If yours isn’t here, ask on the consult call — that’s partly what it’s for.
I’m in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, Regence, and UnitedHealthcare through Mindful Therapy Group. You’d be responsible for your copay or coinsurance. I also accept private pay at $100 per session.
We talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and whether I’m the right fit. It’s not a sales call. If we’re not a good match, I’ll point you toward someone who probably is.
Not at all. We start where you’re comfortable starting. There’s no “right” way to do therapy, and you don’t need to know yet what you need — figuring that out together is part of the work.
It’s optional — some clients love it, others skip it entirely. We pick a book together (often philosophy, fiction, or memoir) and you read between sessions. Then we use what you’re reading as a lens for what you’re working through. It’s especially useful if you process life through ideas. More on bibliotherapy →
No. Therapy is yours — you can stop, take a break, or switch therapists any time. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll help you find someone who is. The goal is you living well, not a long client list.
A free 15-minute consultation is just a conversation — to see if we’re a good fit and what working together might look like.
